Overview
In this self-paced on-demand training, students will become familiar with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The Fair Labor Standards Act requires that covered employers pay nonexempt employees minimum wage and overtime premiums for hours worked beyond 40 each workweek.
Students will:
- Understand the basic concepts of the FLSA
- Understand the calculation of overtime and the regular rate of pay
- Understand the various exemptions to the FLSA and be able to articulate the applicable test for each
- Understand what time is generally compensable under the FLSA
- Learn a variety of other useful information to comply with the FLSA
