Sergeant Detective Charles Moore is a 17-year veteran of the Boston Police Department. The majority of his time with the Boston Police Department has been spent in investigative units. He spent nine years in the department’s Drug Control Unit where he conducted and participated in various types of drug investigations. During this time, he attended an extensive amount of training and gained vast experience in this area. He is also recognized as a drug expert and has served as an expert witness in various Suffolk County courts in the areas of drug identification and drug investigation.

Currently, Sergeant Detective Moore is assigned to the Bureau of Professions Standards – Internal Affairs Division. In addition, he is an active member of the department’s Peer Support Team and Co-leader of the department’s Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT). Sergeant Detective Moore is also a certified instructor-trainer for the MPTC in various topics and disciplines, as well as an adjunct instructor at the Boston Police Academy. Sergeant Detective Moore obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Curry College and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Lasell University.
