PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Officers will conduct an investigation that will include informant interviews, both electronic and manual surveillance, a controlled buy using an informant, a buy bust, a search warrant affidavit and the execution of a search warrant on an abandoned house using a raid plan.
Students will receive a lengthy manual that will have samples of raid plans, affidavits, informant contact sheets and court cases that apply to narcotics investigations.
The cost for this 8 day (weekdays only) program is $995. Departments may consider funding this training with Byrne-JAG task force grants, Law Enforcement Trust Funds (seized drug assets) or community policing grants.
