This one-day course is meant to provide public safety Records Access Officers and Records Supervisors with a high-level overview of the Massachusetts Public Records Law so they can hit the ground running! Attendees will be provided with an overview of the Public Records Law, including an in-depth look at the exemptions most applicable to public safety, real-life examples of how to use the exemptions, strategies to deal with requests, and a copy of the Guide to Public Records for Massachusetts Public Safety Personnel (2023 Edition) (including several sample forms).
