COURSE DESCRIPTION
A lot has changed since cannabis consumption has become legal, but “Operating While Impaired,” has not. If you are making motor vehicle stops, seizures and arrests you need to have this knowledge. This course in not just for drug recognition experts, but for all of you who protect and serve. Operating while stoned is becoming more and more prevalent and extremely dangerous to everyone sharing the roadway with impaired operators. Let our instructors prepare you to be successful on the stop itself and in the courtroom. This course will cover field sobriety testing and introduce the skills necessary to detect operation while impaired by substances other than alcohol. In addition, you’ll know exactly what’s necessary to include in your police report, in order to satisfy the requirements of drug impaired operation as well as a template outlining the requirements to get that search warrant for blood evidence and medical records. This one day training is exactly what you need to make our roadways safer for everyone we serve.
