We recognize that great law enforcement executives and command staff are both educated and informed. With this thought in mind, we are proud to present our “Chiefs and Command Staff Executive Development Training” for 2024/2025.

As always, there are many changes and updates regularly facing those of us in law enforcement. This Executive Development series is designed to address the issues that cannot be put aside.  At MPI, we are grateful for the opportunity to be part of your professional education and training. The following is a list of 15 important and meaningful topics that great leaders can’t afford to miss.  Total training time will be approximately 45 hours.  Current important issues may necessitate topic changes.

Segment 1 – Employment Law Issues

Topics Include:
MCAD, Labor Relations, Management Rights, Public Employee Freedom of Speech
IOD, FMLA, Disability & Discrimination

Segment 2 – Administrative Issues for Command Executives

Topics Include:
Supervisor Liability, Questioning and Interviewing Public Employees, Internal Affairs, Public Records, Introduction to Budgeting

Segment 3 – Long Range Planning for Command Executives

Topics Include:
Contemporary Liability Issues for Command Staff, Leadership Earning Trust & Commitment
Generational Communication for Police Leaders, Relationship Building

Schedule

Segment 1 – begins March 4 – all 6 courses completed by March 22nd

Segment 2 – begins March 25 – all 5 courses completed by April 12th

Segment 3 – begins April 15 – all 4 courses completed by May 3rd

Program closes on May 9th for an optional in-person wrap up, presentation of certificates and lunch.  10AM to NOON at Shrewsbury Police Department.
