Leadership Challenges in Smaller City and Town Police Agencies

This course will examine many of the issues facing Police Executives in smaller cities and towns. Topics include; “Dealing with Personnel Matters, Community Engagement Strategies, Effective Collaboration with Public Media and the Press, Successful Political Navigation and More. We’ll examine major incidents such as the Amber Alert and how to keep everyone informed of a Homicide Investigation without damaging the case.

This training program will guide the police chief and other command staff to understand their role and the unique challenges they face as a major public figure in a smaller community.
