Interviews and interrogations are integral and key elements in policing today. Obtaining information has been and will always be one of the most effective and imperative tools when it comes to solving and also preventing crimes.
This course will help officers of all experience levels develop and enhance their skills and abilities in the area of conducting interviews and interrogations. Officers will learn helpful skills and techniques surrounding various types of interviews including but not limited to the Field/Street interviews of victims, witnesses, suspects, and other sources of information.
When it comes to interviews and interrogations, an officer’s Interpersonal and communication skills are equally, if not more important than their technical skill. This class will help bring these three invaluable elements together in a skill set that the officers can utilize in a variety of situations including responding to calls for service and conducting more involved and complex investigations.
