Overview
In this self-paced on-demand training, students will become familiar with the injured on duty provisions for police officers and firefighters under G.L. c.41, section 111F. Students will:
- Understand employee eligibility for leave under Section 111F
- Understand the municipal liability for part-time officers injured in the line of duty
- Be able to articulate the collective bargaining issues involved in Section 111F
- Be familiar with common scenarios involving Section 111F
- Understand the circumstances under which Section 111F benefits will be terminated
- Understand how claims against third parties may affect Section 111F benefits
